This was an essential standard issue tool of most US forces in the war and they're extremely versatile, being used for everything from digging, to cooking, even weaponry. The wear of the tool is heavy in the blade, with paint loss and edge dulling. The oak handle has a nice smooth wear to it, and the carrying case has heavy wear on the belt clip, sun damage on the fabric and just as much dirt as the tool itself, all consistent with heavy use. This an excellent piece of Vietnam Memorabilia that would display well in many settings. Further info available upon request.
