Features & Specification ECWCS Generation III SAND Level 2 Quilted Mid-Weight Thermals:

• Constructed with Polartec® Power Dry® grid material, this layer provides extra warmth in cooler conditions but still wicks moisture away and dries fast.
  
• Stretch material for increased comfort
• Highly breathable
• Moisture wicking for evaporative cooling in mild climates
• Significantly lighter with less bulk that previous ECWCS
• Thumb holes aid in donning multiple layers
• Reduced chaffing and increased comfort during movement
• Mid-Chest zipper converts to mock turtleneck with throat protection
• Contoured long tail for additional protection from the elements
• Drawers have an elastic waistband and access fly
• Color:  Desert Sand

1. Used/excellent condition Gen III Level 2 sets to be in excellent working condition.  This means that they will not have any holes, NO rips, NO tears, NO permanent stains.  They might have been laundered and might need laundering.  The inside tags might have been removed.  There will be signs of wear but they will only be for sale at our online store if they are in the condition to be worn at the high standards of the US Army and perform the way they are originally designed to perform (in this case as a second layer of warmth and insulation in the Gen III ECWCS system). $15.00 each piece
2. New items will clearly and obviously be brand new, some will have tags attached, some will not.  NO signs of use. $19.95 each piece
   

Components of the ECWCS Generation III System:

• Level 1:  Base layer silk weight shirt and long underwear worn next to skin or by itself or in conunction with other levels for added insulation and to aid in the transfer of moisture 
  
• Level 2:  Base layer Mid-Weight shirt and long underwear worn next to skin by itself or in conjunction with other levels for added insulation and to aid in the the transfer of moisture.  This Level (2) for sale here,  see detailed description above
  
• Level 3:  High-loft Polartec® Fleece jacket Primary insulation layer, worn underneath shell layers or as an out garment in cool condition
  
• Level 4:  Jacket shell, designed for wear under body armor worn in transitional environments to provide wind and sand protection
  
• Level 5:  Jacket and trouser shell level to be worn with base and insulative levels for use in moderate to cold conditions
• Level 6:  Jacket and trouser waterproof barrier designed to be worn over other levels in moderate to cold wet conditions alternating between freezing and thawing
• Level 7:  Soft Shell Insulative layer for use during static operations in extreme cold and dry conditions
