Never issued or worn, manufactured for the U.S. Army & Marines during the Vietnam War. They were stored in crates of 24 pairs of a single size. Might have some scuff marks simply from storage. They were never even tried on!

History of Issued Boots during the Vietnam War:

There were several basic 'patterns' of boots used during the Vietnam War. There are two versions of the all leather combat boot which was the principle boot worn when US troops deployed to Vietnam. The leather boots saw continued use throughout the war in rear areas, like Army & Airforce aviationn and other areas where a nylon boot was not desireable. There are five basic style of Tropical Combat Boots or 'Jungle Boots', the first of which had a stitched on sole that was relatively smooth with a small diamond treat pattern around the ball of the foot. The next version featured a direct molded vulcanized sole and came out in 1967. This is the boot for sale here - the Altama Vietnam Issue Jungle Boots Chevron Vulcanized Spike Protective Sole - referred to as the Okinawa Boot. After this boot came the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Pattern (in both Vibram Sole and Paname Sole jungle Boots.
